News this week: Earlier this week, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC)
opened its 19th edition of the Hong
Kong Fashion Week for Spring/Summer with over 1,250 exhibitors from 21
countries and regions. The four-day trade show was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition
Centre (HKCEC) from 3rd to 6th July 2012.
According to the HKTDC,
87 buying missions from 70 countries and regions were present at the show,
contributing more than 4,600 buyers to overall visitor attendance. This year’s
fashion week also introduced new theme zones that featured fashion jewellery
products and scarves & shawls. The show was spread over eight exhibition
halls, and included group pavilions from mainland China, India, Indonesia,
Macau, and Taiwan.
