IIFF organisers postpone 2012 show

News this week: The organisers of the India International Furniture Fair (IIFF), International Furniture Fair Singapore and MP International, announced the cancellation of the 2012 edition show.

Organisers cited a weakened economy in Europe would lead to less buying power of the European buyers. According to the organisers, the 2011 edition attracted close to 2,500 visitors, of which a significant number were international buyers. A new date for the next IIFF has not been announced.

IIFF was originally scheduled to be held from 6th to 9th December 2012 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The organisers claimed 130 exhibitors would occupy 7,500 m2 of space. The 2011 show attracted 100 exhibitors and 2,376 trade visitors to Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre in Mumbai from 16th to 18th November.
