News this week: Indian specialty publisher, CyberMedia, announced results for the
quarter ended 30th June 2012. CyberMedia’s revenues in the quarter were
US$3.4 million, a slight increase of 4.7% over the same quarter last year. In
the same period, the company recorded a net profit of US$79,000, compared to a profit
of US$570,000 last year. Dilute earnings per share in the period were Rs. 0.42
(US$0.0076).
CyberMedia’s media
business generated US$2.1 million or 60% of total revenues in the quarter – an increase
of 3.3% over the same period last year. The company’s media services business
revenues were up by 4.1% year-on-year reaching US$1.4 million in the quarter.
