News this week: Last week, Hong Kong-listed mainland
media group, CCID
Consulting announced its results for the first quarter of 2011. Revenues in
the quarter were US$4.7 million, a 13% increase year-on-year. Gross profit in
the period was up 11% to US$2.4 million.
CCID’s management attributed
the growth mainly to its continuous efforts in promoting reform. The company
posted a net profit of US$116,000 in the period, which represents a 15%
decrease over the same period last year.
CCID’s public relation
consultancy services, the company’s largest business segment, accounted for 54%
of total revenues with US$2.5 million, while management consultancy services
jumped 27% over last year. CCID’s second largest business segment, market
research services, dropped by 7.8% year-on-year to US$1.3 million and accounted
for 28% of CCID’s revenues. The remaining revenues were generated from
information engineering supervision services – which increased 13% to
US$887,000.
