TCEB launches “Year of MICE” campaign

News this week: The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) continues to promote the local MICE industry, unveiling its latest “Year of MICE” for 2013. This follows last year’s campaign: “Thailand: Destination of Choices.” TCEB’s president Akapol Sorasuchat noted the “Year of MICE” initiative is the result of a private-public sector discussion that was held in January this year.

TCEB’s other targets for hosting global mega-events includes the World Expo 2020. The bureau recently consulted with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in preparing its “Believe in Thailand: World Expo 2020” bid. This year, TCEB confirmed 17 major MICE events will be held in the country, including two corporate meetings and incentive travel events, six international conventions, five international trade shows and four domestic MICE events.
