BPA opens office in Shenzhen

News this week: Independent media auditor, BPA Worldwide, announced the opening a branch office in Shenzhen. This is BPA’s second office in China, following the opening of an office in Beijing in 2004. The Shenzhen office will reportedly aim to better serve the tradeshow market in southern China.

In January 2010, BPA partnered with the Shenzhen Municipal Government’s Shenzhen Science & Technology, Industry, Trade and Information Committee (SZSITIC) to provide event auditing services in the city. Under the programme, eligible domestic and international events held in Shenzhen can apply for a subsidy to use an authorized third-party auditing service. Since then, BPA has performed 55 event audits in Shenzhen.

Doreen Chan, BPA’s managing director, Asia Pacific, commented, “With the growing demand for event and tradeshow audits in the region, BPA’s Shenzhen location will support and enhance our relationships with the Chinese event communities, and allow us to provide instant services to our members in Southern China, as well as rest of Southeast Asia.”
