Details on planned 60,000 m2 venue in Jakarta


News this week: Construction on the Jakarta International Exhibition & Congress Centre (JIECC) will reportedly begin in October this year and the venue is expected to soft-open by 2014. After completion of Phase 1, the venue is set to become the largest venue in Indonesia by more than 30%.

Phase 2 is scheduled to be completed in 2017. The venue will feature 60,000 m2 of exhibition space, a 5,400 m2 ballroom and 2,700 m2 of meeting space. JIECC will also feature a plenary hall able to accommodate 18,000 to 20,000 people and it will feature 45 breakout rooms.

JIECC is located at Alam Sutera, a 700-heatare mixed-use development in Serpong, Tangerang - 30 minutes drive time to Jakarta city, and 15 minutes to the nearest international airport.
