News this week: Reed Exhibitions announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Australia’s clean energy event, All-Energy Australia, for an undisclosed amount.
All-Energy Australia, launched in 2009, is a two-day event held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC). The 2011 edition attracted over 3,600 participants and 230 exhibiting companies to the event. The event features companies supplying, or able to supply, the large range of equipment, components and specialist services that will be needed by the clean energy industries across the Asia Pacific region for clean coal combustion technologies, carbon capture & sequestration and CO2 transmission.
Debbie Evans, managing director of Reed Exhibitions Australia commented in the press release, “All-Energy Australia is an exciting addition to the Reed Exhibitions portfolio. Since its launch in 2009 the event has gone from strength-to-strength, increasing annually in size and stature and establishing itself as an important meeting place for the clean energy community.”
The new team will be led by John Gorton, Group Exhibition Director of Reed Exhibitions and the 2012 event will be held from 10th to 11th October.
