MMI launch JV in China to expand environmental show

News this week: Messe München International (MMI) and Shanghai ZM International Exhibition Co. Ltd have announced the establishment of a joint venture to operate and expand the environmental technologies trade fair in China, IE expo.

IE expo, formerly IFAT CHINA + EPTEE + CWS, will be launched at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) from 7th to 9th March 2012. Organisers of the events are MMI, Shanghai ZM, MMI’s Shanghai subsidiary, MMI (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. Products and services exhibited at the event will include water & sewage, refuse disposal & resources recycling & reutilization, air pollution control, energy saving, other pollution control, and environmental measurement & management.

The 2011 edition of IFAT CHINA + EPTEE + CWS was held from 5th to 7th May at the SNIEC, which featured 752 exhibitors and more than 22,000 visitors. Approximately 45,000 m2 of exhibition space was occupied this year.
