Global Sources’ fall trade shows expand 7%

News this week: NASDAQ-listed Global Sources’ fall China Sourcing Fairs concluded with more than 7,400 booths over 14 shows – a year-on-year growth of 7%. Hosted at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE), the number of attending buyers increased 3% to more than 62,000 this year.

The shows that were held included the China Sourcing Fairs: Electronics & Components, Security Products, Solar & Energy Saving Products, Korea Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components (12th to 15th October); China Sourcing Fairs: Baby & Children’s Products, Home Products, Gifts & Premiums, Christmas & Seasonal Products, Medical & Health Products, India Sourcing Fair: Home Products (20th to 23rd October); China Sourcing Fairs: Fashion Accessories, Garments & Textiles, Underwear & Swimwear, India Sourcing Fair: Garments & Accessories (27th to 30th October). Global Sources reported the attendance of a number of large international importers at the shows this year.

Tommy Wong, president of Global Sources Exhibitions, was quoted in the press release, “Our shows have gained a reputation for showcasing a distinctive universe of manufacturers and suppliers from Greater China and throughout the region… Our new Online Sourcing Fairs allow buyers to view exhibitors’ products two months prior to the physical event, and their booths up to four months following the physical exhibitions.”
