News this week: UBM China has
announced the launch of the new Singapore
Children, Babies and Maternity industry Expo (CBME South East Asia) in 2015. The inaugural edition will take place
from 16th to 18th April at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.
UBM estimates around
4,000 m2 of gross exhibition space will be used to host approximately
200 brands and 3,000 visitors at the first edition of CBME South East Asia. The
CBME series includes
editions organised in Istanbul, Mumbai, Sao Paulo and Shanghai. As part of the
launch campaign, UBM has organised a CBME road show for the first time which
will begin at the Mumbai CBME, running from 9th to 11th April. The road show
will conclude at the closing of CBME South East Asia in Singapore.
CBME’s general manager,
Athena Gong, said, “CBME exhibitors have been looking into extending their
reach in Asia, beyond China and India. The launch of CBME South East Asia is in
response to the market demand. Singapore, with its efficient transport system
and world-class infrastructure is an ideal venue for South East Asia. Its
strategic location will be an easy access for Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines,
Thailand, Vietnam and Burma (Myanmar).”
