News this week: The Kuala
Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) reported that the venue has hosted 1,119
events during the period from 1st January to 30th
September 2012. That is up 13% from the 973 events held in the same period last
year at KLCC.
During this period, KLCC received 1.2 million delegates and visitors,
and reportedly generated an economic impact of around US$133 million to the
city of Kuala Lumpur. According to KLCC, there are more than 25 major events
scheduled to take place at the venue before the end of this year.
Over the seven and a half year period of KLCC’s operations, the venue
reportedly hosted 6,322 events and attracted 13.2 million delegates. The venue
also claims a US$1.3 billion economic impact since its inception in June 2005.
