News this week: UBM Asia announced that its events postponed in Tokyo as a result of the March earthquake and tsunami have been rescheduled and relocated to take place at the Intex Osaka Exhibition Centre from 13th to 15th July 2011. The rescheduled exhibitions are: CPhI Japan, ICSE Japan, P-MEC Japan and BioPh Japan.
UBM is expecting the collocated events to feature over 150 exhibitors and around 8,000 visitors. The company’s management also noted that Osaka was selected in part due to the fact that it is one of Japan’s key regions for pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing. The exhibitions are expected to return to Tokyo next year when the events will run from 21st to 23rd March 2012 at the regular venue – Tokyo Big Sight.
