News this week: Last month, Reed Exhibitions concluded its dual interior décor events, 100% Design Shanghai and International Home Décor & Design (IHDD). A total of 147 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions attended the event, while the number of visitors stood at more than 13,700 – up 15% compared with last year’s edition.
The events were held from 3rd to 5th November at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre. Key product categories covered at the three-day events included furniture, bathroom décor, lighting installations, kitchenware, home accessories and wall/floor coverings.
Josephine Lee, senior vice president of Reed Exhibitions Greater China, was quoted, “For a while now we’ve been talking about how China is undergoing a reputational transformation: from simply being viewed as a cost-competitive manufacturing hub to holding its own among the world’s creative and innovative heavyweights. The standard of visitors, exhibitors and displays at this year’s show reinforced the progress the local interior décor industry continues to make. And that’s fantastic news for every level of the design sector.”
The 2012 edition of 100% Design Shanghai and IHDD will be held from 1st to 3rd November again at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre.
