News this week: The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has presented its proposed five-year plan to the newly-elected Thai government, highlighting its aim to grow the Thai MICE industry by 100% and to develop Thailand as the region’s leading MICE destination by 2016. Developed in cooperation with Thailand’s private sector, TCEB maintains the plan will help increase MICE travel to Thailand by 75% and will grow MICE revenues by 87%. TCEB aims to attract MICE investment in both the manufacturing and services sectors.
The plan involves five primary objectives: 1) Sustain annual increases of MICE revenue of 15-25% per year, 2) Attract 15-25% more MICE travelers to Thailand per year, 3) increase MICE expenditure by 5% per person, 4) Level of satisfaction of MICE travelers to not fall below 2011 figures, 5) Level of satisfaction of MICE operators to not fall below 2011 figures.

Thanks so much for this! I haven't been this moved by a blog for a long time! You’ve got it, whatever that means in blogging. TCEB recognizes the importance of laying a strong foundation for Thailand's MICE industry. We have always worked closely with the private sector, and this plan began with an industry consultation to establish a framework for industry recovery at the Thailand MICE Summit. Anyway, You are definitely someone that has something to say that people need to hear. Keep up the good work. Keep on inspiring the people!
