News this week: London-listed media group UBM has announced the acquisition of AMB Exhibitions Sdn Bhd and AMB Events Sdn Bhd on behalf of its subsidiary UBM Asia. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. However, UBM reports that AMB’s business generated revenues of approximately US$4 million in 2010.
AMB company founder, Andrew Siow Kwang Vian, will remain with the business as a consultant following the acquisition, together with his team of 15 employees.
AMB was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur. The company’s portfolio of events includes five exhibitions in Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines serving the water, livestock, energy, and mechanical/electrical industries.
