Impressive turnout at bauma China

News this week: Shanghai, 26^th November: The 5^th edition of the International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Construction Vehicles and Equipment, bauma China 2010, has concluded with record attendance of over 150,000 visitors from 165 countries. This is an impressive leap of 33% from the previous edition held in 2008.

Organised by Messe München International (MMI), the four-day trade show was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). The number of exhibitors increased from 1,608 in the last edition to 1,858 this year. Exhibitors from 37 different countries covered 230,000 m² of floor space – a 10% increase from 2008.

Of the 1,858 exhibitors, Chinese companies accounted for 60% (or 1,124). Other countries with large numbers of exhibitors included: Germany (154), Italy (107) and the U.S. (92).
